My colleague in Chicago told me last night that he spoke with the President of Michigan State about conference realignment last summer and she said that TVs and how well the fanbase traveled were big factors. He is a Michigan guy but asked her about KU (his daughter goes there) and she said they had examined adding KU, KState and Mizzou as a package to get the midwest tv market. She said they examined many factors and realized people in that tv market will care much more about games between those three schools than any of those schools separate playing existing big 10 members and said they has looked at how popular the tv ratings were for those rivalries. But that was before they added Nebraska.
So, are we in a better position than WVU at this point?
This crap is killing me. Can we just rough ridin' get this done with.

President Susan Herbst tells me #UConn has not ruled out staying in the Big East. Says geography will be a major part of her decision.

I'm honestly feeling SEC. Their actions are basically begging us 3 to go there.

Who's to say that over the long term these changes cause a steady decrease in ratings and folks decide smaller/more regional conferences is the way to go?
Even if we go SEC, which would be the most badass possible thing probably (and which we won't), I'll still feel for I-STATE0.

Every KU fan I know still watches K-State, even though they hate us, just like every K-State fan I know watches KU basketball. I'm sure KU and MU are the same way. I think the 3 schools are much more desirable together than they are separated.
