What are the realistic options we have left?
Is the Big 12-as-we-know-it destroyed? What super conferences have spots left? Do those conferences even want to go to 16?
It think the best shot people have been throwing around is KU/KSU/MU to SEC.
I mean, if you really think about it, the SEC has, like, really crappy options if they don't move fast. Really bad. Cincy/Louisville/Baylor bad.
The ACC locking down has really screwed them. Hard.
I bet Louisville is making the same joke about us right now
Maybe. But they share a state with a current member, they're below us on the list of US News rankings (if those things matter, but they probably don't), and they've only been BCS for about five or six years. They have no ties with anyone or anyone to really lobby for them.
I'd be really surprised if KU/KSU/MU aren't lobbying hard for one another. I may be alone in that thought, but I think there is a lot of sentiment between the three schools that they don't want to split.
