i think what i hate the most about conf realignment threads, blogs & articles is that so many people completely fail to understand how much of the value of collegiate athletics is tied up in rivalries and subrivalries.  like they think you can just cut off a duke, for example, and throw it down and have it play any random good team and it's going to be worth the same as playing unc.  or play any random better than average team and it's the same as playing maryland, or any random poor team and it's the same as playing ncst.

fortunately most university and conference admins seem to understand this better, but the media and fans appear to just be oblivious.

Tampa's pretty nice for the most part.  It would take an act of God for me to step foot in West Virginia again.  What a horrible, horrible place.

getting texas and ou fball and pretty much the whole state of texas and the whole state of oklahoma tv systems by only adding four teams does not dilute anything. they would have their four team pod system and they would go go from there with pretty much the whole western half of the us. also, i guess the big east would take us. man though, what a disgusting conference to have to be a part of. i guess there is that roadie to clearwater beach every other year.
