Sooooo looks like this is the last season for the Big 12. No way OBz is here to shepherd us through a new conference, right?  

It is worse than that.  Now that we will be in a shitty conference no one cares about, OB will coach until he dies, then hand it over to Sean because no one will be paying enough attention to notice.  But before all of that happens, Frank is going to be whoreing himself out even more (if I were him, I would be on the phone already), and will be gone in a year.  

At least we will have that horsey sport thingy and our food taster people teams

nd won't join a conference with more than 7 conf games.  playing who they want is the most important thing to them, going from 11 to 12 games made it possible for them to join a conference, although still unlikely.


playing who they want is also the most important thing to ut.  ou stays with ut no matter what, osu stays with ou no matter what, texas legis. kills anything that involves a texas school that hurts other texas schools, unc/duke/uva/maryland/ncstate/wake are hard to separate.  close to impossible, unless staying together looks really bad.


if you don't account for all of those in any movement, your movement makes no sense.

KU has one advantage over the other programs on the sad seven list.  We offer the one true elite program in revenue sports of anyone on that list.  We have to hope that the move to conference networks means they need programing and see the value of a basketball program that will get people in front of TV's.

We are a mid major

I am pretty much fine with it now.  OB and the admin have made us mid major in FB for years now anyway.  Honestly, I am really going to miss basketball though.  Still holding out the smallest of hope that somehow we can sneak in the Big East for hoops (in the unlikely event that they even exist anymore).
