Warming up to the Mountain West, would make for some elite travel.
Bet the Big 10 goes with Rutgers, Pitt, NC and Duke.
Notre Dame will go Big 10 as well, IMO. The writing is on the wall, they have to join a confernece.Big 10 would love to add ND, UT, OU, and Pitt/Cuse/Rutgers. But, I bet they go with ND, Cuse, Rutgers, Pitt.
If you are UT and OU, do you go Big 10 or Pac-10? They'll have the choice.
QuoteIf the SEC adds A&M, OU, MU & KU, they add the Houston, OKC, St Louis & KC markets, get into Texas for recruiting, add a premier football program along with two solid programs, get their Patsy in KU and adds a premier basketball program that has nation wide appeal.phoggies

Let's hope Zenger is proactive. If aTm is gone, we better be next. Want nothing to do with this clusterF conference. Maybe I'm completely wrong. We are a huge national brand. Don't know if you guys in the Midwest realize it. But we are very well known/respected (at least on the east coast) Find it hard to believe we would go to a midmajor conference.

Why the hell aren't we being over-the-top proactive?Try to get ND, BYU, and Air Force. Then start adding TCU, Arizona, Arizona State, Louisville, Memphis, Houston, etc. until we get to 16. Then in our next few years we start swapping out the weak links for stronger links until we become the most elite conference.

Their commish obviously will want to let UT keep it, but those other schools might be too proud. We have to pray that the Pac-10 schools are too proud to cave in...it's really our only hope (since we assume that the Big 10 is way too proud).

God I wish they would, NU would absolutely crap themselves. They just fled to get away from Texas and here comes Texas to rule their new roost. amazing.
I don't see anyway to avoid UT and OU to the Pac-10 if they can't persuade ND to join them in a "Eat what you Kill" conference.
why on earth are people suggesting AZ and AZ State would join us. good grief people.
