Yep.  Thank God our governor won't sell KSU to augment deficiencies at KU.  However, our Governor is also purposefully trying to cut every cost he can in order to campaign for the White House as the "great cost cutter."  He could give two effs if it hurts Kansas.   Now, as K-Staters were are getting the long end of the stick on this one, so it's not so bad.  If I were a KU administrator, I'd effing hate Brownback more than cancer.

Brownback also makes state budget employees pray with him before budget meetings. Not sure how this helps or hurts ku or ksu though.

My ku fan contacts are saying that the state needs to close KSU because the state can't afford to keep K-State, and that it would make ku more competitive in football since they wouldn't have to compete for recruits with us.  The don't even understand the irony of trying to copy Mizzou.

ku fans also argue that their AAU status is the primary reason that ku should be kept open and K-State shut down.  If my understanding is correct, KSU is a tier 3 school not because of academic deficiencies, but because of lack of comparability of degree programs to other institutions.  I guess a lot of other schools don't offer degrees in "Agricultural Mechanizaton" or "Evapotranspiration Science", even though those are valuable and unique programs.

You're misinformed. KSU is Tier 1 (same tier as Harvard).
