It ain't no thing my purp-sippin brothas. OU and Texas were done pimpin' that big red ass so we let big daddy Michigan and his bad person cousin Ohio State slap 'em around for a bit. Once a biotch always a biotch

One of the most noteworthy decisions by the league ADs was to equally distribute nearly $1 billion in revenues to be generated over the life of a 13-year conference partnership with Fox Sports for second-tier football television rights. That decision is in stark contrast to how most television revenue was divided in prior years. Prior to this decision, the majority of television revenue was provided to the schools that appeared on the actual telecasts. As a result of this decision, the Big 12 will now share its overall revenue more equally than any time in its history– clearly a sign that the 10 institutions are committed to the “new Big 12”.

Equal revenue shares for Big 12 Fox DealQuoteOne of the most noteworthy decisions by the league ADs was to equally distribute nearly $1 billion in revenues to be generated over the life of a 13-year conference partnership with Fox Sports for second-tier football television rights. That decision is in stark contrast to how most television revenue was divided in prior years. With pretty much all conference games guaranteed to be on Fox Sports or FX in the new contract, the revenue from that deal would have been split pretty evenly to begin with.
Texas is our friend who is a junior in college who is hooking us up with a case of Beer 30 for prom and when we try to pay him 5 bucks for a tip, he chuckles and says "forget it, man, just have fun tonight, eh?"

The 1st tier rights are still distributed based on who gets on TV the most. And all of the schools that stayed in the league like it that way -- you get rewarded for doing well.

So with all the Fox/FX Gus Johnson-ey coverage now, does this mean I'll get to watch the Khatz wherever I am in the country with relative ease? Or will I still have to just crap my pants hoping to get a stream from somewhere?

In truth, Dan Beebe COULD turn this around and try and poach other schools to fill the ones that are obviously going to leave us. For example, Louisville and Cincy could both be looking....pair that with select teams from the MWC and MAC, and I suppose we could be close to holding on to a BCS bid. We'd almost be better off just approaching the MWC right now and asking if they'll take us.....lock in our spot. They have 9 now, and adding Boise State takes them to 10. I'd hate to miss out on them moving to 12.
Everybody step back from the ledge. Tim Weiser and Dan Beebe will figure this out.Plus, according to the powertards this is still at least 3 to 4 years out.
