Apparently you can't get it through your head that UNMC doesn't fall under the umbrella of UN-Cornhole LoperPride.   That's one reason why Cornhole got the boot out of the AAU.

So, let me get this straight:  Nubb refused to concede the Big XII, realized they couldn't compete and conceded the conference.  Then, they thought maybe they could compete against the "smart" schools and maybe make some extra money in the process.  Smart schools tell Nubb that they are welcome to play sports with them but they're not smart enough to be in their AAU afterall.  And while all this is happening, the Big XII members are throwing money around, lighting cigars with $100 bills, and laughing at UNL?  Is that accurate?

KU is also dangerously close to being booted from the AAU, as I believe we are in the bottom 1/3rd and the appointment is an annually renewable, competitive one.  I think Gray-Little's primary mission and focus is on making sure KU does not get removed.

This HAS to burn the Nubs hard though, as it was the clincher that allowed them to make the move. I'm not sure as many Big 10 schools would have been as welcoming without AAU membership.

Oh ye of the downs syndrome JT. This doesn't impede the vesting in the CIC and enjoying the billions thrown at the Big 10 with YOUR tax money that NU will gladly spend.
Last time I checked even with the revised TV contract the big 12 teams are still below the Big 10 in revenue sharing. Not unless Texas lets KSucks suck at another teet.

Looks like the AAU is cleaning house.  Syracuse is also leaving http://chronicle.com/article/Syracuse-U-Facing-a-Forced/127363/, but at least the have the good sense to leave of their own before being kicked out.  I'm guessing stories like these will keep coming out until AAU membership is down to 50 schools.

At least Syracuse bowed out gracefully rather than be escorted out by security.

Some schools have some dignity.
