Nothing in my first hand experience with UC supports a commuter school label. The enrollment/campus experience seems exactly like that of the other schools I've been around.

Per US News, 24% of UC's students live on campus vs. 23% of K-State's.

18% for UCF. 17% for Houston.

That stat is a bit misleading.  The stat we need is how many of the students are full-time and live within 4 miles of the campus, which does not include their mom's basement. Hard stat to find.

we are all big losers on that deal with all the extra hours spent on I-4 when turning the UCF roady into a beach vacay.

UCF has over 12K in on campus/affiliated housing (that's like over 60% of K-State's total enrollment).

They had 61K undergraduates last year, and 8K Freshman.  Their main campus is twice the acreage of K-State's main campus.   

This Fall, their FTE headcount is 46,701 students, so their FTE head count is more than double K-State.

Honestly, with the snobs in Norman traveling with the whorns to the SEC to both be in football purgatory for the foreseeable future, this conference could get really fun, even if we don't get the media exposure we necessarily want.
