OK d00dz, I have a dilemma that will hopefully garner enough input to push this thread forward maybe another half-page or so on the march to 200.

I recently moved to Minneapolis, MN. and will be starting school as a Gopher here in a few weeks.  I finally have the Big 10 Network and I have to admit that it is AWESOME.  I mean, it's the offseason and they're showing old reruns of random college fooboo games.  My dilemma is this: can I watch these games, or am I obligated to boycott the Big 10 Network for its role in the near-destruction of Kazzu and the college football landscape as we know it?  I mean, on one hand I hate this network for what it helped cause, and I hate the Big 10 already.......but on the other hand, am I really in any position at this point to turn down free college football?

IMO, you may watch as long as you pirate all their content and sell it on the black market.  The soldiers in Afghanistan should have a little kid trying to sell them DVDs of these games in their base of operations.

Yeah, my dad is from Sota and I lived there while I was young so I've been a fan of UM and UMD for as long as I can remember.  Nowhere near as avid a fan as I am of the Cats, but definitely a fan.

I think it had pretty much been called. BYU just wasn't going to take the media deal worth just 1.5 million per school. MWC is attempting to fill the void with WAC schools. But I'm not sure if it's an improvement leaving WAC to join a MWC that now lacks the draw of BYU and Utah. Will Boise St. keep their commitment to the MWC for 2011? Will both the WAC and MWC survive? Will the Big 12 look to any of these schools to bring the conference back to 12 teams?

Now that TCU's only competition will be Boise St.....you think Patterson will get a little anxious for a BCS conference?  As stated above, I don't see Boise St. staying in the MWC long.

we will not be going to 12 anytime soon. The coaches don't want it the ADs don't want it. Would not make us any more profitable. ONLY school that would make it profitable for the conference is Notre Dame and they aren't walking through that door.

The Mountain West Conference has extended invitations to Fresno State and Nevada.

The MWC announced Wednesday that it has offered the Bulldogs and Wolf Pack an opportunity to leave the Western Athletic Conference join the league that's losing Utah next season but gaining Boise State, another WAC school.

The MWC announcement came just minutes after league member BYU acknowledged reports that the Cougars could be going independent in football and joining the WAC in all other sports. The BYU statement stopped well short of confirming any of the reports, saying only that the school will explore its options.
