A little info FITZ has been sitting on but revealed last night is if Conference Armageddon had occurred and Texas and the South + NU & CU had jumped ship and there were only four members of the Big XII standing we would have been fine.  Just added some teams like UNLV and Tulsa to fill the voids but we definitely would have retained BCS status.  Just lost a little "sexiness" without Texas in the league. 

Just a little FYI, if you were ever concerned.  Turns out we shouldn't have been.

Yeah, it's a tricky tight rope to walk to try to get him to spill it.  You can't PI him or he'll bolt.  You can't ask all whiny or he'll lose respect for you and not say.  What do you do?

Clearly a misprint.  We all know who Larry really wanted.

Had a conversation with an Aggie fan on a flight to Love field.  In the span of 4 minutes he expressed a firm conviction that:

SEC was drooling over them.  Was super thrilled and couldn't wait.
They'd do great in the SEC and would likely become the power in the West division
They are better than UT.  Hos basis "hwne he was back in school they used to drill UT"

I pointed out UT was now the big dog on the whole block and he got very agitated.  I pointed out that they are great in just about every sport and have more money than everyone and I thought he was going to make a mad dash for the exit row, throw open a door and jump.

Finally, I mentioned 62-14 and he looked like he just watched his collie get run over by a cement mixer.

The Big East would have targeted Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State and Missouri. Those schools would have swelled its ranks to 12 football teams and 20 basketball programs.
