When Darth Vader decides to hang it up and the Death Star finds its portals soiled and trash filled, and the gun turrets rusty and in disrepair.   The SEC will be good, but it will not be dominate.   

Look at the SEC now, two really good teams, a couple of good teams and a lot of mediocre teams.   I watched BC vs MethU and the phrase "they supposed to be SEC" kept running through my mind.

Michigan will probably pass them up if they go undefeated but that would mean the winner of Penn State/Iowa would also lose to Michigan.

I'm interested as to what will happen too BYU if the chaos continues. I happen to think Baylor will beat them by more than a touchdown, but they're also in the mix.

If Alabama and Georgia end the season without losing to anyone besides each other, then they are absolutely both going to be in the playoffs.  That's how this works.

I think the most interesting thing about BYU would be the comparisons to Cincinnati, should they both run the table, which I doubt.  Cinci's schedule has the toughest individual games (which have already been won), while BYU's has more P5-caliber competition on it.

I think a minimum of 3 spots are going to the SEC and B10.  The last spot is mostly between the B12 and G5, with an outside chance of PAC.  I don't think they'd do both 2 B10 and 2 SEC.

Yeah, the win over Notre Dame, having another P5 win over Indiana (I know, it's Indiana but still) and other quality wins potentially down the road over SMU and Houston will make it really hard to have a 13-0 Cincy team be held out IMO. Or at least I'd love to hear the rationale of keeping them out if that happens.

This.  Don't make the mistake that the CFP rankings will resemble anything close to the AP poll by default.  Cinci may be 5th now in the AP, but for all we know the CFP committee will have them outside the top 10 when they release their first rankings.  They tend to favor the Autonomy 5 conferences very heavily, more so than any other poll.

Also, teams that play a G5 schedule are usually penalized, being more easily leapfrogged by P5 teams in October and November even after wins so their upward mobility in the top 10 is not a given, even if staying undefeated, as it would be for a P5 team.
