no crap. Any other direction they go, they'd only play more. If they're in the Pac 12, who the eff do you think they would love to have on the 11am slot? Oregon? The Big 10 seriously thinks Noon Eastern is the only time to start a football game, and the SEC will be no better.

not really.  i understand it because i hate 11am games too.  they used to be reserved for the worst matchups, but now the they get more marque matchups, so if ou doesn't want 11am games, they should continue trending down

last year in Norman, when the purp cats stomped boomer, i was tailgating that morning with a bunch of sooner fans, and they were bitching about it being an 11am start.  so i think they've been butthurt about this topic for quite awhile now

Not really, they are absolutely worse for businesses. The 11 AM kickoffs are an issue but if you look at that chart and see that UT and Baylor have had none when everyone else has had at least 3 is a huge problem. Baylor and UT have had non 11 am kickoffs for every ISU, Tech, and KU home game they have had the last 2 seasons +, how is that possible? The conference should ensure something like this doesn't happen.

OU whining about a toothless conference office is rich considering you can make the case that they are the party most to blame for giving the power to the board of governors.

It is just as much their fault as the conference games are. Baylor hasn't had 11 am non conference games and they play jack crap at home. If the conference asked Fox to switch a 11 AM OU game for one of those 6PM games that Baylor plays on FSN, they would. At the very least they need to assure that Baylor doesn't go 3 years without an 11 am home kickoff when the second best school in the conference for ratings have 7 in that same time frame.

It's because Baylor plays games on FSN and OU does not but I still don't know how that can't be fixed. The conference used to mandate that each school appeared on network tv at least once a year, can't they make the 11 am kickoffs more equitable?

The 11 AM kickoffs are nationally televised marquee matchups. I'm sure most of the fans would be willing to give a few of those up for later kickoffs, but I doubt OU's administration wants to trade a nationally televised game for regional coverage.

Pretty much this. OU can either switch to regional coverage or it can be better to get national prime time coverage. You can't just demand both while being only a pretty good team.

I can't really say for sure, but it sure seems like this is what K-State does with their opener. Turn down earlier cable TV slots so they can push their own K-StateHD network and control the start time.

The big 12 has very few regional games, and weirdly those are mostly ABC night games
