All the people I've ever met that have graduated from ku are indoctrinated with a belief that ku is an Ivy League-lite school, and that Lawrence is an oasis of either (1) East coast culture or (2) West coast culture on the plains of Kansas. They loudly proclaim the superiority of Lawrence over all other college towns, even though most of them have never set foot in another college town outside of Emporia or Pittsburg. Its amazing that they don't even see the contradictions in their articles of faith. I like Lawrence, but having lived in both Lawrence and Manhattan, like Manhattan better. If I had my choice and could afford it, I'd live in Boulder, but only after they clean up the flood mess.
