Has any one really asked this question yet. We know Missouri is the only major college sports team in the state but do they really bring all of Missouri's TV set to a new conference? Does not seem like they have ever, even now when they have been good, have they brought that many more TV views compared to KU or Kansas State.

I just have not seen it.

The BOR will demand it to start with.  I mean to think that KU, lead by BG-L will throw us to the wayside, is asinine.  

BG-L reports to the BOR.  If the BOR tells her to do something, she'll do it.  That's her job.

Yes, there's a limit to the level of hardball they'll be willing to play, but if the SEC says, "No, KSU," I highly doubt the BOR will just say, "Okay, then.  You can have KU without KSU.  Thanks for letting us ask."

I mean, for God's sakes, Zulu is EMAW.  If Perkins wanted to work to keep us together, Zulu definitely would.  Currie and Schulz have more SEC contacts in their Blackberry than Zulu will have if they gave him a directory.  Don't you think KU would want to be associated with an administration that understands and has experience in the SEC landscape?

When faced with the options for #16 being Cincy, USF, Louisville, or Kansas State, I think we have as good a shot as any of the others.  Especially if we are considered "tied" to KU.

A&M has their own board of regents, and the current governor is an A&M grad.  The political climate is such that they could get away with it.

Do you think the KBOR would ever vote to give BG-L autonomy to make decisions regarding conference affiliation?  No.  Do you think they'd just vote KU in without knowing exactly where we're going to go?  No.

These people have access to a map.  Once Mizzou goes, KU becomes the biggest free agent out there after the ACC pillages the northeast.  The BOR will know that.

i know.  I don’t understand why ksu’ers refuse to accept this reality.  When presented with two terrible situations, you (i.e. the BOR) picks the least terrible.  In this situation it would be KU going to whatever wonderful smelling conference instead of going to the MWC with KSU so the state of Kansas can effectively not have 3 WSU’s.

This assumes that Rutgers and Uconn from the Big East go to the ACC.
This also assumes that the SEC takes West Virginia.
This plan also keeps only 1 time zone difference.
Does not take any members away from ACC, SEC, Pac-XX, and the Big 10.

UCF (University of Central Florida)
Cincinnati
Louisville
Baylor
KU
K-State
Missouri
Iowa State
TCU
Houston
so we are at 11:
then pick 1 or 3 of the following: (Tulsa, Memphis, SMU, Southern Mississippi, East Carolina)

You could split the divisions in a N/S or E/W direction.

It still sucks, but the options would give you presence in the states of Florida, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Iowa, and possibly N. Carolina, Oklahoma, and Mississippi.
Make the teams sign a 30yr conference contract, start its own network, distribute ALL revenue equally and make a $30 million exit fee.

Of course if we end up in the Big BCS-Lite and KU goes to the Big Ten we're going to fall behind pretty quickly.
