PW,

how much do you think God intervenes in the daily lives of human beings? their decisions, opportunities, conundrums, etc..

ie: someone in your small group attributes making a decision to "i just heard God telling me to do it."

do you always believe people when they say these things or do you think much of the time people do what they want and give God the credit?

tia, man.

Do you think it is acceptable or even preferable to pick and choose which parts of the Bible (God's words in written form) to adopt and follow and which to ignore?

It is absolutely not acceptable. Every word of the Bible was intended for us by the God who is there. The creator of all things. It is true and should be followed.

You and I have gone over this before. If it wasn't you, it was someone who you are indistinguishable from. I'd suggest you read the New Testament and discover that we are under a new covenant through Christ's sacrifice and resurrection and many of the laws and customs of Moses no longer apply to us.

seems like they still do
