Some wheat growers here in central KS reporting 90+ bushel / acre yields. Best wheat harvest ever they are saying.

north or south of i-70?

I thought south of 1-70 was pretty dry in the spring so wasn't sure if they rebounded.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.

I irl saw a truck pulling a horse trailer with one (1) bizzare breed animal in it and I’m 100% convinced it was one of the delicious Zuck bovines.

Nice day to take some pics of the most prominent rock wall on the farm.  This one's runs a half mile with only a few breaks on the steepest terrain and across a couple creeks.

Couldn't get a great Pic, but this a hollowed out area where rock was quarried.   It's a couple feet lower and a square area on a rock ledge.

Checked on the ladies and their slick looking calves too.

LoL.  Maybe  I should walk it looking for rocks that don't belong there and a small tin box.

Flint Hills are looking awesome Tom. Reminds me of the area between Alta Vista, Volland, Alma. Some very nice rock walls in that region.

Isn't there a scenic route in that area?  Some years back I went to Alma to get some fresh cheese and ended up taking the scenic route.  Very much recommended.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Yeah, great route between Alta Vista and Alma. County highway with rock fences along much of the route. You could combine the Alma cheese with meat products from the locker in Alta Vista.

Family has pasture just west of Eskridge, where my Flint Hills pictures are taken.  My rock wall pictures are Douglas County near Lawrence.

I'm just picturing the guy in 1920 begging ambassadors etc to bring back some wheat samples from where they are posted.

"Look, I know you have super important things to handle over in Iran but can you PLEASE get some samples of the local wheat and send it back? Pretty Please!?!?

That's essentially what my grandpa did at ksu cats u. He worked with chinese bros to make wheat babies. He even went to china in the 70's to visit his colleagues before china was "open".
