As soon as I saw it I thought, "I bet tom knows what this is"
I kind of know/remember crap... Google makes me look way smarter than I am.

The only belt driven equipment i remember is one old AC silage blower we used a couple times.

As far as abandoned farm bldgs... no thank you.  The cousin and I explored once as kids and stumbled on a vulture and her chick in the upstairs of an old farm house.  The only reason I didn't crap myself was because I was running so hard to GTFO.

We heard this pitter patter while down stairs from the ceiling. It was the chick running back and forth.  We inched up the stairs only to be confronted by flapping wings and vulture stench.

Not sure how any of this works/time frame but the cat ranch is included in the coverage map in the article below. Can't wait to get some of that sweet sweet gigabit internet out on the cat ranch.

Random cow pic last weekend.   Talking on speaker on my cell standing in the feedback.  The old girls were quite curious about that.

Random question, why do some of the cows have 2 ear tags with different numbers? Is one to identify the calf before it gets chipped?

The jugallo wanna be (7 / 55) looks like a thick gal.

Low farm/ranch IQ here. Are cows dumb as crap? They look uber derpy, but it might just be because their eyes are so far apart.

Speaking of dumb and cows here is a funny story from his summer.

This summer I went out camping in Wyoming and a buddy tagged along for one of the trips and we stayed at the cat ranch one night on the way there. He has lived in KC all of his life and has no connection to farming....In the morning before we left I was showing him the farm while driving around the pasture.

Ben Ji: "Yeah, this is the pasture where cows eat grass and stuff"

City boy: "Do you guys ride alot of dirt bikes out here"?

Ben Ji:  "Not that I'm aware of"

City boy: "Then what are all these dirt bike trails for"?

Ben Ji: "WTF are you talking about"?

(City boy points at some cattle trails)

Ben Ji:   :blindfold:

Not sure on my cousins tag scheme.  One probably id of the cow for record keeping.  Nor sure what additional number is.

The tag in the bulls ear is actually my cousins phone number so when the old boy decides to go in search of a good time in other parts of the country people know who to call to come get him.

Corn/Wheat prices are at 7 year highs, what kind of tricked out tractors/combines/F350's are all the land barons buying this year?
