So the Sun Belt Championship between GA State and GA Southern had a final score of 38-36 and Georgia State's coach may have ruptured his Achilles celebrating  :sdeek:

The mirror is the perfect place for Groce to start his evaluation. This was an Illini team made to do more. Groce just finished his third season in Champaign, and his teams don’t seem to be improving. He led a team largely built by oscar Weber to the NCAA Tournament in his first season and followed that with an NIT appearance last season.

Barring the selection committee sniffing glue between now and Sunday, the Illini are headed back to the Not Invited Tournament.

That guy doesn't know crap.  This wasn't a team made to do more.  It didn't have a big 10-caliber PG once oscar's leavings got hurt and even then Abrams was a liability on offense more often than not.  That of course is Groce's fault.  He's swung and missed for three classes now.  If he doesn't get a good one he's going to get fired because of it.

Lies to suggest this team, particularly with the injuries and suspensions, was supposed to actually be good though.  The consensus heading into the season was 7th to 9th or thereabouts in the big 10 before any of that crap went down.  They were 8th.  It's garbage, but it was expected by everybody that's not a fat Down's baby working for the local CBS affiliate.

He's going to get two more years unless they really tank next year.  Like oscar this year bad.  His offense is crap though and I hate it.

It's entirely possible it never will.  Could be the end of oscar is what it is now.  Pointless crap that nobody who doesn't suck donkey dicks is willing to root for.

Or it could be that Illinois (Where Mediocrity Thrives) chose Jim Groce to replace oscar Weber.   Jim Groce.
