No thanks to K-State, but the Big 12 has established itself as the #1 conference in RPI and winning % so far in noncon. That makes it at least a 5 bid, and possibly a 6 or 7 bid league.

Is this the biggest difference in expecto and results in modern KSU sports history?  I suppose last years baseball team was pretty high up there too. Probably still football 2001.

It was no where near this level, but 2010-2011 basketball should probably be on the list going from #3 preseason to a 5 seed.
Something somewhat near this level is 2004 football going from top 15 preseason to 4-7

its amazing how bad this team is so far.  This is, without exaggeration, a Wooly level team (right now).  Worst KSU team in about ten years.
