I've been told that the trickiest part of a D&S is finding good ginger beer and I have also been told that I am in a ginger beer hotbed so my question is should I give one of these a try and have I received good advice?

i went to a speakeasy in downtown L.A. where i had the best D&S in the world, they used homemade ginger beer.

not sure if i already posted this but in case i forgot- try adding a dose of this to your D&S.

Have ^ and found some Fentiman's to go with my Black Strap Rum.  Forecast is looking Dark and Stormy!!

okay, googled it, i read you need goosling's spiced rum, and barritts (sp?) ginger beer, and lime wedge optional.  Can i get these things at a regular liquor store in KC?  Is it important to keep these brands, others anyone has used?

also interweb recipe call for pretty much 2 ounces of rum, standard, but the ginger beer ranges anywhere from 3 oz to 8 oz.  What is correct?

Most grocery stores out here carry 2-3 brands. I don't know if that's common b/c I never heard of it before these D&S PSAs.
