I am not taking a lot of this seriously - these guys are having fun. That is what fan boards are for. I have to admit that their "Civil War" thread is a funny idea knowing that they are trying to troll the trolls. I could teach courses on The War of Northern Aggression, without notes, but I am not going to get mixed up in that! lol

I won't be talking "trash" on their board; I will only give my observations (when I have some) and re-post relevant articles when I see them.

i'm familiar with toomer's. they used to have these really old trees there. did away with those, but the fountains you reference remain.

Confirmed.  It's hard being the reputed best damn conference in the land.  The last thing we want to do is play out of conference teams and lose.  It's hurtful to our brand :(  Bad things happen in games that matter.

True statements. It was a painful season to be sure. But it worked out in the end; we got rid of Chizik and got Malzahn.
About Miss State though, they ALWAYS play us tough no matter how bad they might be, and that year we would have struggled against a pack of slightly angry Boy Scouts.

Makes sense, since y'all are both middle of the pack SEC-SEC-SEC teams... On the other hand, I find it really cute how all the AU fans act like they're some premier program after being a few miracle plays from being 8-5 last year and then got boat-raced in the 2H of the BCSCG against an ACC team.

Hell, one of our lower half Big12 teams (OSU) almost beat the defending champs in Dallas after graduating 45 lettermen.
