The best chain fast food-ish burger place that I've been to is Five Guys, IMO. It's not really fair to compare their fries with In N Outs because they're so different but I like the fries at Five Guys better. All the toppings you get to choose from at Five Guys is really what gives them the edge. Oh, and the peanuts.
Get out, best chain fast food burger is Fudrucker's. Have only eaten there once but I still dream about it.

fudruckers=redrobin.

Update: new place is actually called BRGR. It was packed. 40 minute wait at 8 pm. :surprised:

Had Blanc Burger instead. Free truffle fries:gocho:

How?

Bro got an e-mail coupon from Mission Farms. Showed it to the manager on his iPhone.  Boom.    <-- (popcorn = truffle fries)

Pretty terrible bracket IMHO.
Agreed. The best part about Whataburger is that they are open 24 hours and are tolerant of people being absolutely smashed in their lobby. However, my town's Qdoba is now open til three and right next to bars so the trump card has been played.

Qdoba is a Chipotle wannabe. Hasn't your town gotten a Freebirds by now?

the word is that BRGR is better than Blanc.  hard to believe b/c blanc is so good.  since it's out south i don't have to worry about ever going there but  also- at blanc try the fried cheese curds.

Ever seen Fargo? Steve Buscemi mentions how much those burgers suck in Fargo and applauds Whataburger, so I don't believe much those Coen brothers or that Buscemi guy have to say.

Since we're talking about fast food burgers, I will throw this out there... In 'N' Out Burger has to be the most overrated restaurant known to man. I ate there twice over Spring Break and both times was horribly underwhelmed. First time I didn't try anything unique with my burger or fries and left disappointed so I went back and got both my fries and burger done animal style. Again, left disappointed. Anyone care to explain the hype for this place?
it's legitimately good fast food, which is pretty rare.  if you had a fast food hamburger choice b/w InO, Hardees, Wendys, McDs, and BK, hopefully you would have enough perspective to choose InO.

I mean, sure, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't spectacular either. And I expected spectacular because of how in love with the place people are. I would put it above all of the options you listed, however, if I was faced between the option of In N Out or Hardees, it would probably be 50/50 depending on what I was in the mood for. The lack of options at In N Out could give the edge to Hardees on certain days.

I'm getting angry reading this.  In-N-Out is incredible.  I love it so much I feel like you are taking personal shots at a family member.

One of the dumbest statements I've seen here.  I'm not sure they waste much time on marketing.  They don't need to.  Their product markets itself.

in-n-out is not bad.  it's not ridic. like people make it out to be though.  if they were everywhere people would not be so Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) for them.  it's like the girl you can't have, if you could hit it whenever you wanted she wouldn't look so hot.

I'll fight you.

That may be part of it, but I eat fast food for lunch about every day of the week and would definitely eat there at least once a week if it was here.  I would be much more excited about that over BK, Spangles, Subway, and other crap places.  It is just burgers and fries but it is rough ridin' good.

in-n-out is not bad.  it's not ridic. like people make it out to be though.  if they were everywhere people would not be so Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) for them.  it's like the girl you can't have, if you could hit it whenever you wanted she wouldn't look so hot.

Yeah, it's better than those garbage places you listed.  To use my same analogy if someone said the girl you couldn't have was ugly you shouldn't defend her by saying she's better looking than Russell Robinson, Danny Devito and a goat.

Went to Big D's over the weekend, just because of this thread......a few opinions:  i asked her what the best thing to get was, "well a for somebody your size, i would say The Urban (2/3 lb burger)" ok, she talked me into it.....probably the biggest burger I have ever had, pretty damn filling.....

Burger:  B-
Fries:  A
Pop: D (No Fountain, only bottles, wft?)
Price: C
OVERALL:  B-

Next time I am definitly going with "The Phylo" which includes mushrooms, green peppers, onions, hullabaloo like that.....seemed to be what everybody else was ordering.  Also only going with the burger, and NO fries, they were really good, but I havn't hullabaloo right since I ate there since I had too much.

some of you like crap burger places, i wonder if you think 'Top 5' means Bottom 5.

Maybe if i ate there all the time i wouldn't like it as much, but since it was my first, love it. Kinda how things work in life.
Sometimes I think of the Book of Job and how God likes to really eff with people.
