I went to a Boston v. Sixers game in Boston the other day and it was my first NBA game. It was super fun! Like, I've been to lots of NFL games and it's not really my scene and I've been to NHL games and they are an experience but, again, kind of a pain in my ass. I can definitely see myself being an NBA going to games guy based on this one single experience if I lived within walking distance!
OF NOTE:
1. Boston fans are super nice. Just all friendly and chill.
2. Getting into and out of the arena was even less of a pain in the ass then getting into and out of Kauffman. It was a full arena and it never felt annoyingly busy or crowded.
3. Bought lil steve dave a stuffed larry bird and a tatum jersey at the game. He wore the jersey to school the day I got back and my wife was telling me he was asking alexa what the score was of the game the entire night while I was there after he found out I was going.
What an eclectic collection of favorite teams that child will have.
lmao, yes. His lineup is:
MLB: Astros (his name starts with "H" and at the age of about 3 he became aware of a team with a giant "H" in their logo)
NFL: Bucs (liked them before they won the super bowl because his flag football team was the Patriots so he was a patriots fan but then they traded Brady so he became a Bucs fan. Then they won the super bowl while we were at Disney World and Gronk came to the Magic Kingdom but we were at Hollywood Studios that day but still pretty cool!)
NBA: Celtics (see thread)
NHL: Not really aware of the sport yet
College sports: KSU all (obviously)
