i'm a delusional idiot for handicapping as a 14-17 point favorite

I agree completely.

i'd happily bet Auburn -14 against you if the line gets there.

vegas has underrated auburn 11 straight games.

Why the hell would you do that?  It's currently at -9 most places and Wynn LV is at 8.5... Either bet it online or have a proxy in Vegas play the -8.5 for you.  Then, screenshot the online play as proof or post the ticket.

Put your money where your mouth is, or STFU.

That is a pretty clever name for Bama's stadium.

for a good long while it was extremely accurate.  up until just a few years ago, through circumstance, we'd always brag that bama had never beaten AU at bama's home.  they did get 2 revenge thrashings very recently though that fixed that.

So they never actually changed the name of their stadium tho?

Nick Marshall lost in the only environment he's played in that is remotely as hostile as he will see on Thursday.

Historically, he also hasn't been very good at football in the state of Kansas...

In 2012, he went 7-4 as the starter at GCCC with 18 TD and 20 interceptions. TWENTY.  :sdeek:

Yeah, if we can get up early and control the clock, Auburn may abandon the run game and things could get really ugly. I think they will have some degree of success running the ball against us, though. It's probably going to be a close game.

The quarterback run game scares the crap out of me based on what we saw out of our defense the first two games.  :sdeek:

"You will see "backups" on defense all night long. We generally play about 10 guys on DL alone every game and often wear down OL's because of it. Our talent is deep there."

If you have so much talent why have so many people, even some of your fellow AU faithful, talked about defense being the TIGERS weak link?

Interior D-Line is the one and only strength.  If the corners could stay with a receiver for longer than .008 seconds, we could have a great defense.

Is this a mismatch nightmare for Auburn? Have heard that Auburn can't take advantage of  lack of experience at RT.

I think this is exactly what we thought about OSU vs FSU, and OU vs Bama last year.  The difference is that OSU did not begin to believe they could win until the end of the game.

K-State needs to simply play as close to error free ball on defense and don't give up the long play.  If a running game can be established capitalized by points, well whether it's Nick Marshall or anyone else, they can't do anything sitting on the sidelines.

Because a backup who is 90% as good as a starter is more effective when the starter is winded and the backup is fresh? Obviously? Same reason teams tend to use multiple running backs and not just their top guy.

Big chemical can't send a team to the ag research capital of the world?

The game is at Kansas St., not Auburn.

You better tread lightly, pal.  We can take jokes about our football team, but we take our ag very, very seriously.

Hey now, so do we.  They don't call us Au-barn for nothing. (actually Bammers think that we should be ashamed of our history as an ag & eng. university and use that term in a disparaging manner, which is ridiculous because we are proud of being 'barners'!)

Now I know what a barner is!  May your barn be ever golden. Namaste.
