The obvs answer is to wait until the GF moves, move in with her unofficially, search for job, and mooch until job is found. Especially if you guys are getting married.

It really comes down to the fact I'd rather not have to lie to her parents. But, her and I have had this conversation more than once. I might give myself another month or two of saving then just go.
don't know why anyone would ever consider getting married without cohabitating for at least a few months.guess that's for another thread, though.
yard dog, i think the smart move here is to rent and pay for a separate apartment to keep up appearances even though you will be staying at her place 95%-99% of the time.
