I know the song was already 6 years old, but using The Funeral at the end of the first episode of this season was pretty great. The song fit in perfectly with Clause's speech leading into showing that Ted and the wife first met at the train station.

I've only watched two of the North America shows and the thing I think is cool is that it's a reminder of how harsh the North American Continent really is, particularly in the lower 48 . . . our relatively modern society, technology, general access to comforts and modern transportation make us forget that at times.
