i like that through 2 episodes of this season, they are listening to me and not to cns casey and leaving a lot of the scifi crap out of it.   

True story: After the first episode of season 2 where the lady gave birth to a ghost/demon thing, i stopped watching the show.

As a guy who apparently has the same reservations about that kind of stuff, would you recommend me getting back on the horse?

Yes. The fantasy stuff never goes away, but it plays second fiddle to the story throughout the entire series up to this point in the books, so you should get at least a few more seasons' worth of enjoyment out of this show, maybe more.

yeah, keep watching.  there isn't anymore ghost demon weird stuff, just a tiny hint of weird zombie stuff, and some dragon stuff.  but the dragon stuff doesn't really bother me.  oh and a giant for like 10 seconds, but it was ok.

The entire premise of the show is geared toward making normal humans laugh their asses off all over the place.  Making the picture bigger doesn't change that.  Typical giant logic.
