If you can get out, get out now Kelly Klarkson!! It is a terrible show and it isn't even funny anymore. It may have never been, but I have watched it since the first season and I can't remember.

So, another pretty good episode of The Walking Dead last night. But is anyone else puzzled about what happened to Hershel? Dude got bit by a zombie. First rule of every zombie show/movie ever made is when you get bit by a zombie, you either die or turn into a zombie. Simply hacking off the limb that you got bit on shouldn't change anything. That zombie juice is already coursing through your veins.

Arguing the science of the walking dead is pointless. As a group they had agreed that if someone got bit on a limb they would hack it off and hope it works - that was why they were carrying that ax with them. There is nothing more to it. Would the blood have already made it to the brain by the time they cut his leg off? Yeah. so what.

they've mentioned/hinted at it several times that when you are bit, you get some sort of fever and that kills you.

cutting off his leg stopped whatever causes the fever to go through his body.
