After almost a full season of LOST I'm giving up.

Finished the third season of The Wire and still have no idea why people think it's the best show ever. Even if 4th and 5th seasons are really good, the first two were boring as hell and the third was slightly above average. And McNulty is the least interesting main character of any TV show I've ever watched. I might be done with it until I forget how much I dislike it and everyone tells me "just give it one more season!" enough times that I believe them.

Besides these two and Game of Thrones, yeah, I pretty much like everything. Mostly because it takes about 25 people I trust telling me a series is good before I will watch it.

I enjoyed it.  Season 2 was definitely the worst, but I enjoyed the rest of them with season 4 probably being my favorite.

I need to get breaking bad dvds or netflix.

The Wire is different from most serial dramas in that there aren't huge cliffhangers or neat little endings.  Mostly its a show designed to give a snapshot of how stupid the war on drugs is, and who it effects.  I think it does a great job of this.  McNulty is overrated, but not the worst ever.  I really enjoyed seasons 1 and 2, currently watching season 3 and not as into it as the first 2, but still a fantastic show IMO.

To really enjoy LOST you accept the ridiculousness of it all, and embrace the characters.
