I have an eccentric client (35 years old and retired  ) that has read all the books religiously and said the show is a great interpretation.  Since it's a series, it doesn't have to cut them all down and leave a bunch of crap out like most movies do.  My sister said she was going to read the series, but I just can't read historical fiction like that.  The language and writing style is such that I have to read it really slow and go back and read entire passages multiple times to get the gist.  That's not really conducive to books that are 1,000+ pages.

Anyway, super psyched for the rest of the series.

On my flight back from Mexico they showed a free "sneak peak" of the pilot for the upcoming FOX series Alcatraz.  I thought it was pretty captivating. Apparently it's by the same guys that created Lost.

The show airs on January 16 and I'm anxious to see if the rest of the series lives up to the excitement of the pilot.

imo, Season 1 of Dexter > Season 2 but Season 2 is great still. I was in the same boat after 1 or 2 episodes, liked it but didn't love it. Then it grabbed my balls shortly after.

not sure which is more annoying- dexter aggie or walking dead aggie.  maybe both are so annoying that they just max out the annoyance measuring device.  breaking bad aggie is on par with these two other clowns as well.
