Why, the premier was a lot better than any of season 5.

Are you kidding me? That was the cheesiest dialogue I've ever had to sit through since 90's sitcoms.

I love the concept of the killer that Dexter will be tracking all season, but that was about 3 minutes of the show. I do not want to watch another season focused on a relationship that Dexter is not involved in. I already had to sit through Batista and Laguirda's annoying marriage. I'm not sitting through Deb "I say the eff word every other word" Morgan's romance woes for an entire season. And the way they explained everything that happened between the 5th and 6th season? "Wow Dexter, I sure am glad I moved next door to you. It's the perfect living arrangment!" Wow. Subtle.

Awful. Nearly unbearable.

Every season Deb has had romance woes, usually with a different person...you can't tell me you would rather have his emo stepdaughter Astor back? And what dialog was cheesy? Other than the shitty acting job by the jock dude when strapped to the table.

"Stop, hammer time"

The conversation with the girl he knew from high school (who decides she owes him a BJ. Seriously?)

The conversation with Batista about God

The conversation that Laguerta has with the police chief where they explain everything that has happened between them

And did Dexter really think that there would be a dogpile during a flag football game?

These are all reasons why I loved the first episode of the season and the show in general.

2nd episode was much better. But if they pull the Dan Brown thing and make Mos Def evil in the end then I am officially off board.

If you are 2/3 of the way through, do yourself a favor and just stop.

No, a lot of the Black/White Lodge mythos in Twin Peaks is fascinating.  The Killing and Twin Peaks really aren't all that similar as season 2 of Twin Peaks basically focuses on supernatural elements.  The original plan for Twin Peaks was to never reveal the killer but use the mystery as a side plot to tell the rest of the story.

Its such an amazing show its sad it got the treatment it did from the ABC executives which put a stain on some of the episodes after the killer is revealed.  Not watching to the end would be foolish though, some VERY BIG things happen in the series finale.

:excited:  Yes, it was very good last year.   They took a ridiculous amount of time off between seasons.

Yeah, my bad, I meant Twin Peaks. Whenever BB lulls it rebounds even better

EDIT: I watched The Killing and was amazed at the similarities between it and Twin Peaks but they were mostly superficia (Seattle, Murder Mystery, Brothels across a lake). I once heard that David Lynch left Twin Peaks right after the second season started so it didn't end up how he wanted it at all though.
