The Queen's Gambit was mostly terrific.  Would recommend.  If they do a season 2, it should simply be about her soul crushing bottom that she's racing toward with zero doubt.

Wife and I loved it, absolutely loved it.  It's not like the material is brand new or anything but everything is perfectly done.  The acting, the 60's vibe, the flashbacks, the chess board on the ceiling, everything works perfectly.

Me too, even if I understand the financial stuff even less than I do on billions. British people mumbling about financials is less than ideal, love the rest of it though. The actress who plays Skylar will be a star.

The British people mumbling about financial stuff is the best part. I have not loved the character development so far, but it is nice to look at.

Yes, Harper. Another issue with this show is that I'm having a hard time differentiating between the characters. Is the guy Harper likes the same guy always in the gym, and the same guy who is gay? Is the woman flirting with the dude in the gym the same woman who is Harper's new roommate?

Guy at gym Harper may like, but it isn’t clear I don’t think. Harpers roommate yasmin? Is definitely flirting aggressively with the same guy in the gym. He is not gay, his roommate the black guy is gay and is in a relationship with the blonde guy who I think is living with someone (a family member?) that it would be awkward for him to be having late night trysts with guys in the home.

I think we definitely get more tension with yasmin and Harper, that seemed like a false make up scene with the rent payment and joint. Maybe the mean Irish guy gets more redemption and turns out to be a good mentor to yasmin.

The referee scene in How to Split the Check was the highlight of the session, I was howling. I can't believe there's only one episode left. I feel like this is the type of show that will get cancelled despite it being elite.

I finished the first season.  I think it definitely gets better, it does have some very predictable arcs but also people are a bit more nuanced. I thought it was a good watch.

Just finished episode 7 and it was wall to wall great, this is the episode where I felt like the time investment was worthwhile.

I didn't expect to like The Undoing and didn't start it until last week after four episodes had already aired. I got grabbed quickly and whoa boy is episode five something.
