i'm a white folk, I heard blackish is pretty good, haven't seen tho. only shows i'm watching currently tho are Homeland and Survivor.
How weird was the dynamic between Joe and his dad? 
so his dad never really showed him affection as a kid, and now that he has a beard and is a hunk he wants to mouth kiss him all the time. 
Don't forget the acting like a teenage girl and tickling and laughing curled up in his armpit.
They made me uncomfortable. I hate the family episodes every single season, they seem contrived and dumb. Then again I've never been away from my wife for a month so maybe I'd be over the top like they always are.
I hate that episode too. I would assume part of it is starvation, being tired, and physically drained from challenges that get people so emotional. Kinda like bachelor, they probably push the limits to ensure people lose it a little.
That being said, Joe's dad is not starved, tired, or drained. He's just creepy and uncomfortable.
