Finished Doctor Who(the ones on Netflix anyway, not new season) and, man, the last three or four seemed really weird and phoned in. I had a super high fever, though, so maybe I just wasn't able to appreciate them. 
Is the newest season any good?
How is the new doc? I grew to really like the last guy, but not as much as the guy before him.
Do you mean the last three or four seasons, or the last three or four episodes of S7 with Matt Smith?
Peter Capaldi is really, really good. Like very good. He's much more of a detached hard ass with better wit.
The thing is, Doctor Who is so weird because of the constant changing of Doctor's and companions. Season 1 was cool because it was really sci fi (in my opinion). I didn't really care for Eccleston, but I loved Billie Piper, and I loved the Bad Wolf story line.
The best season was Season 2 with David Tennant and Billie Piper. They had great chemistry, and the stories were really fun. But his run in Season 3 and Season 4 were pretty meh.
The whole Matt Smith era was awesome because he was A) great, and B) Steven Moffet wrote some great storylines for him. The cracks in the universe, Impossible Astronaut, Trenzalore...etc. It was great. Rory and Amy were awesome companions as well.
This last year, Capaldi brought it every episode, and Clara is great, but something seemed a bit off. It picked up there in the last three to four episodes, but there were a few episodes in there that were just horrible. The one with Robin Hood was bad, and the Mummy on the Orient Express was absolutely terrible. I think it took them about seven or eight episodes before they figured out how to write for Capaldi, but once they did, man, it was killer stuff.
Of course, it's now probably my favorite show of all time, so it's hard for me to say anything negative about it.
