Just started watching this show called The Wire. People tell me that it's pretty good.

I've never heard of someone that was unable to get into the show. I've heard of lots of folks unsatisfied with the way it ended. Different strokes I guess.

The only bad parts IMO are episodes during the weird transition phase of 2nd half of season 2 where nothing happens.

It's weird, I generally agree with the consensus. I just felt it was very cliched and predictable. Could have been because I watched them all at once and it made the cliches seem worse?

I had a real hard time getting past this too. I really liked the first half of both seasons. The second half of both seasons were ok, though.

The last season was so horrible I didn't make it past episode three
