HIMYD has nothing to do with HIMYM.

I am fine with the ending.   The story was the journey, as with many shows.      And it makes sense to skim over the mother's death given he's talking to his kids about it.   I didn't like that the last episode covewred 15+ years, I would have rather that they devoted a couple of episodes, but it's not a huge deal.    And at the end of the day it was a sitcom, you couldn't devote several episodes to a downer divorce arc.  I look back at the episode when marshal's dad died, and how somber and shocking that was, they couldn't sustain that emotion over several weeks.

They kept usual viewers wanting more for how it ended and they'll try and seek it like the joey show when friends ended.

I totally agree. They spent so much time on this season on the bull crap wedding and they could have spread that out. It was a great series. The excuse for the ending is how young the kids were when they started shooting. Sad, but I can deal with it. I was hoping Barney would grow.

Completely agree. It was definitely time for it to go. Didn't help that Jules was only in cameos. Finale redeemed it though.
