The only thing that was amazing about the last 6 minutes of True Detective is that it was all one shot. You dorks are over exaggerating the intensity by a large margin.
meh. the intensity of the show overall has ramped up a little every episode. i was on the fence for the first 2 epis, but i'm starting to anticipate more excitement every week so i am hooked.
it's not a great show (yet?) but it is very good.
I agree. They seem to be taking the Breaking Bad approach and building up a bunch tension, letting a little bit out at a time, but ultimately building up to the last episode or two. Walking Dead tried this in season 3 and did an absolutely terrible job. They built the tension fine but when they got to the scene they had been building to, they did basically nothing. True Detective will made or broken based on the last episode, so it's almost pointless to talk about if it's awful or amazing or anywhere between until then.
