Altered Carbon on Netflix is good so far, through two episodes. VERY true to the book.

Through 4 episodes, it's just like the book. The book was a very fun read, and won scifi awards and crap. That same author also wrote the mumped up gay protagonist violent fantasy novel series that Mr. Bread recommended in the book thread, which was also a very good book.

I got through 8 or 10 episodes and couldn't get passed the dad. I hated him so much I couldn't watch anymore.

the production value is insane. better visuals and effects than many major motion pictures I have seen recently.

I didn’t like the back story parts at all, but like the rest of it a lot. The philosophical idea of it fucks with me a bunch.

I have some criticisms, but generally like it a lot and hope it goes on forever.

it will need to be super successful tho to support its surely massive budget

Coach Snoop. Episodes are only 30 minutes long and are pretty funny. I don't enjoy Coach Mac, seems like a real douche.
