I RT stupid crap all the time, and would always prefer to straight RT it w/o comment, but far too often I'm already blocked by the dumbass and have to manually RT.

I don't even know how this got out to begin with; I'm assuming from the context of the snitching debate that Tharpe tweeted it.  Let's be realistic, had a G-E student not RT'd it, he'd have saved it and been showing it to his bros through any other medium and the same result would've happened from within G-E instead of to G-E.

Truth #1 - We have no idea (NO IDEA) who the H posted Naa's photo to his instagram. Does it seem likely that he would post this on the internet for all to see when his kid probably can access his instagram? Probably not...

Truth #2 - We have no idea if this is even a selfie... Who took this photo? This matters, how many times has one of your old college roommates broke into your room with a camera and took a picture of you?... Stranger things have happened.

Truth #3 - We have no idea WHEN this picture was taken. Why does this matter? Timing is everything, who is to say that this didnt happen months ago before the season even started?


We should withhold our judgements on this situation. Naadir is in a delicate spot here, and he needs Jayhawk Nation's support

RTing can definitely be snitchin, depending on the nature of the RT. I'm going to stop short of calling this young man a scoundrel because his youth could be used as a shield from the ramifications of the RT, but both of you are old enough to know better in a similar situation. There are lots of people who would see the tweet and be like "oh no that lady is a nurse at G-E, this could change her life, oh well lulz, eff her RT." Don't use Twitter to snitch.

I just always equated snitching telling on someone or reporting incriminating evidence to some authority in order to get yourself out of an unfavorable situation and gain an advantage. I guess being the "cool guy" who outed the school nurse as an adulterer is some kind of an advantage, but it doesn't fit my preconceived notion of snitching.

No they both messed up to an extent. Tharpe, if he did it on purpose, didn't snitch he was bragging, and did a poor job of it. The kid was snitchin, but he's a kid so what do you do? I hope his daddy talked to him about telling on folks.

Leave it to a cop to be out here advocating and making excuses for snitches.

well if we made a "this person messed up" heirchy tree or whatever w/ all involved, i would put the random highschooler with a smart phone retweeting a selfie picture of the semi-famous local college athlete and his forty year old married nurse that was posted to the athlete's instagram account at the bottom of it. actually, i wouldn't even put him on it. i'd leave him off.
