Sorry to hear about this.  I've had to go through some crap, not a ton, but may fair share. And, putting my golden down was one of the hardest.

Granddad died yesterday.  I've been really lucky as he's the first of my grandparents to go.
Granny died this afternoon. 95 years old, last couple months weren’t great but overall things were better that you could expect at that age.

I didn’t think I’d be too sad, given all that. It was time. Then I called my dad… couldn’t make words come out for what felt like minutes. It was just long enough for him to wonder if I was actually calling on the other end, but it felt like forever. I guess I’ve been fortunate to be inexperienced here.

Losing grandparents is rough. They were likely your first heroes and they love you differently then anybody else. My condolences.
