8 miles on the KATY trail in Dallas this morning.  Great trail if you are ever visiting the uptown area.

I hate running guys. it's so dumb.

Ya, but burns loads of calories.  Means to and end.

Ya this. Took me a long time to figure this out. Like, the San Antonio river walk is actually pretty great

Finally back to hour long run this morning. Sure feels good to be running again. Been hitting The Parklands of Beckley Creek. Nice mix of crushed gravel trails and sidewalk.

Wednesday is National Running Day.  I will celebrate by taking my regularly scheduled day off of running.

Went to my twice weekly run group tonight and when I finished my run, which begins and ends at a local running store, the store had ordered ten pizzas for all us studs!! :excited:

(And of course they had the usual Gatorade and oranges and citrus and blaring funk music. Very elite.)

I've never been a trail run man. Mainly because I'm tall and lots of branches hit me in the face. :frown: And I can't do hills because I only run on flat surfaces. :frown: :frown: But that sounds amazing.

It's a nice change from the usual asphalt and concrete paths. If I lived closer to good trails, I'd run more of them. At 5-10, I don't have to duck many limbs.

Went on a site seeing run through Bentonville this morning. Lot of changes to this little town since I was here in mid 80s.

11.3 miles. Two hours. Healing run recalling some youthful memories with my family.

:Wha: I ran around Bentonville Friday. We also used to live there, back in the early 00s. I ran to the new art museum. Beautiful town, and much more pedestrian friendly nowadays.

Nice. I ran from our hotel in Rogers along the path and looped through Crystal Bridges and downtown. Very pedestrian friendly.

How's the summer running, SB? I'm  running 1.5-2 hours on the weekends. Feeling fantastic. Marathon in November. So, mileage build starts next week!

I'm in a hotel, and was trying to go long distance running on the treadmill but these two older ladies thought it was a good place to go for an hour long walk. :curse:

I do a 1.6 mile loop around my neighborhood.  I did it 3 times the other night.  It was like 64 degrees and relatively low humidity and I felt like I was cruising along pretty fast.  I wanted fo know my time, didn't have my watch, so I checked my mp3 player.  28:30.  For 4.8 miles.  Yeah, that did not happen.  It might as well have said 10 minutes.  So, then, I start to wonder if I really did three laps and got all paranoid that I somehow totally lost track and only did two laps.  But I am absolutely certain that I remember three laps.  That, plus the fact that when I arrived back home, I'm all but certain that the clock indicated that I was gone cor 45-50 minutes, has me thoroughly convinced that I did three laps.  But then why was my mp3 player so wrong? And what was my actual time!? These mysteries will haunt me for the rest of my life.,

What side of Louisville are you? I can point you in the right direction for a good running area.

If you want to run tomorrow, UL campus just north of you. Can go all the way downtown on 3rd or 4th St. Also, Bardstown Rd and Eastern Parkway area is runner friendly.

Enjoy the stay. See you at the PGA Championship.

I thought I saw people playing soccer at Old Stadium so I decided to go join them for the first time in 3 years, but they were just finishing up.  So instead, I did a light 50m jog then did 5 110% stair runs at old stadium.

Then I was exhausted so I headed back to the car and then I had to pull over on the way home and puke.
