I do a 1.6 mile loop around my neighborhood. I did it 3 times the other night. It was like 64 degrees and relatively low humidity and I felt like I was cruising along pretty fast. I wanted fo know my time, didn't have my watch, so I checked my mp3 player. 28:30. For 4.8 miles. Yeah, that did not happen. It might as well have said 10 minutes. So, then, I start to wonder if I really did three laps and got all paranoid that I somehow totally lost track and only did two laps. But I am absolutely certain that I remember three laps. That, plus the fact that when I arrived back home, I'm all but certain that the clock indicated that I was gone cor 45-50 minutes, has me thoroughly convinced that I did three laps. But then why was my mp3 player so wrong? And what was my actual time!? These mysteries will haunt me for the rest of my life.,
