also do time of possession
Snyder has never been a QB bootleg guy, its weird.
If you're in the mood for being infuriated like I am, just take a look at the Baylor play-by-playhttp://espn.go.com/ncf/playbyplay?gameId=332852306&period=0

More concerning that a guy 3 years deep in the program can't beat out a 1st year juco.
It is clear we would be in at least the same situation had we flipped the snaps in Sams favor for the season, and that is being generous by saying we beat NDSU with Sams and lose to TCU because we don't get a couple of bombs from Waters. I mean Zim and TT are not coming back next year and any team with average talent will do what OU and TCU have done - eliminate our running game and count on us not being able to hit enough big plays to make up for it. I expect Waters to improve his accuracy on short and intermediate throws but that still isn't going to fix the complete lack of a running game and any DC that doesn't have a safety shadowing TLBL on every passing down next year should be fired immediately. On the other side, Sams may have already addressed his biggest failing (poor footwork and decision making on deep throws) by now if he had been given same opportunity Waters has and we would be preparing for a 02-03 type run with Aaron Sharpe waiting in the wings instead of Dyls (rip).
Like it or not, it was Sams job to lose. Somehow he managed to lose it.

We cover the Vegas spread if Sams is QB for that entire game. Waters was the only reason TCU ever had a lead.
I understand the debate on the quarterback and I can agree with much of it. But I also think some of you watch our games in a serious vacuum regarding the QB position and I think there are a lot of presuppositions based on conjecture at best.
Big 12 QB usage by percentage:UT - Waters 85/15 LOSU - Sams 86/14 LBU - Sams 55/45 LWVU - 52/48 Waters WISU -52/40 Waters WTech - 71/29 Waters WTCU - 59/41 Waters WOU - 94/6 Waters LIt seems we've played the best when the balance is 60/40ish either way.

This kind disassociation between Offense and Defense is very troubling and reminiscent coaches like Prince and Weiss that feel like have to prove they are "Offensive Guru" types.

If I were a coach in a similar situation (two fairly close options with a slate of awful competition), I would alternate QB's every possession, and compare how they do in every situation (down and distance, field position, hash, etc.) Call every drive like it's a tied game. I'd already be doing this in practice, too. If one isn't clearly superior at every situation, play the QB that is superior in each particular situation. This is obviously way oversimplified, but it is IMO the best approach to a 2QB scenario. I also like to think some version of this will take place (or is already).
I completely overestimated our coaching staff. Instead they're operating by their "gut" like complete idiots.
