It can be stopped by good gap discipline. FSU showed how to do that in the 2nd half.
The trade off is that it does soften up the middle of the defense, but I'd rather take that instead of getting gashed on the outside.
It's one thing to say it, like everyone did this season, and another thing to actually do it. FSU did it for the third quarter, with NFL level talent and then just barely.
Marshall is not that special, but he didn't get to practice in the spring and learned the offense as the season went on. A full spring for him will be huge.
Mason's gone, but Auburn will be fine at RB, not worried about that in the least. Our defense is what we have to improve.
