I've always rented them but have a buddy who found a great set on craigslist for like $75.

I've always rented them but have a buddy who found a great set on craigslist for like $75.

Own some snowboards and boots.

The rental companies use some pretty terrible boards (not sure about skis) but you can find those online for CHEAP.  If you know how you ride and plan on coming out seasonally I would invest in a better board and you'd be surprised how much better of a ride it is.  With as much time as it takes to pick up, get fitted, and drop off rentals, you might as well just invest that time in figuring out your specs and buy a board online.

Always owned. Got new gear a few years ago at SNIAGRAB in Denver.  Great deals, if you are in the hunt for gear and find yourself in Denver from labor day to turkey day, hook yourself up.

I would never, EVER rent boots, however in a few years I may consider starting to rent skis, just to have something new.

Time to get this thread going again. 

I skied at Snowbird today.  I'm terrible but had fun.  Not a lot of easy terrain there. Rented gear from REI this time.  Cheap but nothing special.  Will probably start looking for used or discount gear after this season ends.

Locked up a house iN Frisco for our ski trip in February, 2 blocks from downtown and has its own hot tub  . 


We are prob going to Ski A-Basin 1 day, Breck 1 day and Copper Mtn 1 day....Just absolutely shred some knar knar pow pow.

Breck does a halfway decent Mardi Gras if you're there over that time

Duh! What am I? Some dweeb gaper?! I spent all day making tons of nice slashes and bouncing down the hill on some big ass pillows.capped it off by getting completely faced eating brew dogs and burning trees with my bros. woke up, spit out my dinner and did it all again.

2 weeks from know I'll be shredding gnar all day then getting twisted all night in the hot tub.
