You think it's more of a tuck experience?  All of these suggestions sound more updawg if you ask me.

Question for you guys from a Baylor fan
« Reply #101 on: October 04, 2015, 10:45:43 PM »
I posted this on another thread on accident. Here it is again, any help is appreciated.

Hey all, I'm a Baylor fan that is traveling with a friend this weekend to Lawrence for the Kansas game. Since this is a morning game, and your game is at night, we have decided to go to the TCU game in Manhattan that night. I have a few questions for you guys:

1. What is the visiting section of the stadium (I want to avoid this at all costs)?

2. Where is the best place to park?

3. Where is the best place to tailgate/hang out and see festivities before hand?

4. Anything else I should know before going?

I'll be cheering for you guys, good luck this weekend!

Wear galoshes or something waterproof for the stinking piss holes. Sit wherever you want to. It's unlikely KU has sold the ticket for the seat and even less probable a KU fan who has the ticket will show up for the game. Don't get too attached to it, because you'll be able to grab a better one soon enough.
There's no good place to park or tailgate. You will, however, have a great view of Lawrence's student slums, some people think that's a great trade off. But then again if your stadium overlooks some stinking Texas agricultural runoff ditch, so you may find it appealing.

I'm very sorry to say that, no matter how much Baylor wins by, you will probably walk out of that stadium feeling depressed. It just has that kind of effect.

this may be the most poorly understood implied meaning in the history of gE, and that is saying a lot

My questions were for the TCU v K. St game that night. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm getting myself into in Lawrence............

Thanks! And sorry for 3 years ago. I was talking to a friend of mine this past weekend about how much that weekend changed the current landscape of college football and the perception of the Big 12 today. Crazy to think about.

Just good information all the way around.  I've been to plenty of games in Manhattan, but this was still very informative.  I plan to review this thread as a refresher before each future visit.

In fact, in the future I will likely fly from Kansas City to Wichita just so that I can drive through the Flint Hills and not subject my family to the cesspool that separates West Olathe from East Topeka.

Hey Colombo, if you come to the Lou before the game I will personally buy you as many pickled eggs as you want.  I'll be the guy playing David Allen Coe and Warrant on the jukebox.

Why would you want our anus?

Are you a gay rapist?

There's nothing wrong with being gay, but being a rapist is not cool.
