Does anyone really like Jake?  I mean I assume most tolerated him because we beat who we were supposed to beat but I find it hard to believe that anyone was a really big Jake fan.

I think a lot of my dislike is misplaced and belongs to the playcaller and  the worst running/ least balanced team in my time watching KSU fb

I would rather go 7-5 with a QB I like than go 9-3 with Waters. :don'tcare:

This seems odd to me  :dunno:

Well you get confused by a lot of things.

It's not that odd. He at least partially meant:

I would rather go 7-5 with Sams than go 9-3 with Waters. :don'tcare:

A lot of guys really liked Sams and at least partial blame still goes to Waters that he left. It's weird, but I get it in a way.

i mean.  he has some weird plays sometimes.  that one tonight he audibled into and just like...stood there.

but hard for me to not like a wildcats QB who has had a season like Jake has.

I will say that I don't like the offense we run with Waters.  I think he runs it well, but I don't like it.

I prefer more dedication to the run game with vertical play action passing.  That's a much better strategy for the defense we've chosen to employ.

I'd rather go 7-5 with Hubes, too. Or Carson. or anyone, really.

I'm indifferent to Jake. If he didn't have Lockett he would have been terrible and nothing I saw from him made me think he cared as much as Colin or Bishop.

QB who has record breaking seasons better than this, but also losing 6-7 games.  Do you like that QB?

I like Josh Freeman more than Jake and it isn't even close. Jake definitely had better stats, though.

That pretty well sums it up. I don't know about terrible w/o TLBL, but he just never really had "it." I felt frustrated with him more than pleased, don't know if that was gE influence or what. I hope we don't really miss him a ton next year, but we might. Can't just throw any ol' average Joe out there.

Jake doesn't do anything for me. I hate how he runs. Collapsing during cuts to avoid contact. I don't think I've ever seen him make a guy miss in the open field. I'm not even sure I've seen him try. He's a great passer and he makes some throws that most college QBs don't make. One that comes to mind tonight was to lockett in triple coverage just before the interception. Those plays are really fun. But when we ask him to run as much as he does, it's extremely frustrating to watch.

I would like him more if Sams never played QB for the cats. That's unfair of me, but it's how I feel.

The pick was his fault tho, right? Even if Burton had no idea what he was doing, I don't see a route he could've run where he would have been open and justified being thrown at...

Hmmmmm, so some of u tards are blaming that int. on waters??  Yeh, burton ran one hell of a route there, didn't he?  Well, good news for you then.  Next year, burton is your go to receiver.

You have no idea whether Burton ran the wrong route or Waters threw the wrong route, none of us do. I can tell you that in that spot there is no way in hell that ball should have been thrown to him.

I liked this year way more than any stupid Josh Freeman year.  I really, really liked the Texas wins, but that was because we sucked and it was so unexpected.

Yes but you'd love Josh Freeman on these last two teams. He was anchored by Ron.

some people (like rusty) are just never gonna forgive waters for being from iowa or winning the job over sams or whatever it is he did

You guys don't understand why someone would see his stats as completely empty? His breaking that yardage record makes his legacy even more polarizing. He has had some high profile face planting. His best two wins were against a garbage Michigan team and this years gross OU team. That last drive is absolutely what Jake Waters was a K-State. Slow drive, a few questionable runs, holding the ball tok long, a seemingly great game saving pass that was equal parts amazing play by Lockett and fantastic pass by Waters, then a completely inexcusable interception.

At this point you have to be willing to ignore a lot to act like we should hold Jake Waters in any high regard with the K-State QBs that wre universally adored.

The last two seasons the only fun things I can remember that matter are.
1. Watching Tyler be amazing. I actually hope he doesn't play in the bowl, he has all of the receiving records and if our last memory of his was that last catch then I'm good with that.
2. Beating Michigan. The second best memory of going 17-5 in two years is winning the damn Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, think about that.
