_FAN Top 10.

Bishop

Kavannah had a great defense and was just okay. I think Carson could have done the same thing playing then. Plus, Kavannah was probably the least mobile/athletic QB of any at K-State IMHO.

i think people way overvalue beasley and way undervalue may. jmo. you switch them with the teams they were on and everyone here would have may top four.

also it's crazy how similar kav and carsy were. i said it earlier but they were very, very similar in terms of strengths/weaknesses. interchangeable.

waters over freeman. man, i dunno.

i guess it goes back to the debate which is: are you ranking who is the better QB, or who had the better career at QB while at k-state?

because waters over freeman, i mean...

Here's the thing (I remember you had a favorable view of Carsy too) he wasn't a terrible player and the 2010 offense was actually pretty solid even though he got constantly critiqued (some of it earned). The 2010 offense was 3rd in points per play since 2000. 4th in plays per TO. 6th in yards per play. Overall probably the 4th or 5th best offense (from some pretty good offenses) since 2000 from Snyder coached teams.

Clearly Freeman is the way more talented QB, but I won't apologize if I don't look favorably at a guy that never beat KU, MU, or NU and often played terrible against those teams. Part of that is the teams he was on the coach he was under, but I can't get past that just because he was talented.

As I said; Waters, Freeman, May, and Miller are nearly interchangeable depending on my mood that day on my list. Basically a 4 way tie for 5th. JMHO.

My impression was that Kavannah was quite a bit better than Coffman, but looking at their overall stats, they are very similar to each other.  I would still put Kavannah a little bit ahead.  Kavannah had four 4-TD games including the '95 Holiday Bowl when Miller got injured early on.  I was just very impressed by his play in that particular game and thought he did very well in his year of playing the starter, but he definitely had a better defense.

any top 10 list without grant gregory is wrong.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

may was a badass caflifornia bread gunslinger w/ an attitude and the fact that none of you dorks know that or anything about him kind of saddens me. so here goes...

may put kstate on the map w/ it's first bowl game under snyder and it's first 9 win season. then he followed it up with another bowl game and another 9 win season. also, this was back when the regular season was 11 games.

he was drafted in the 4th round of the nfl draft.

he lead the big 8 in passing yards and passing touchdowns both years he played.

he also finished seventh in rushing touchdowns one year.

he only lost four regular season games in two years. two to nebraska who won the national championship one of those years and lost in the national championship game the other. he also lost one to colorado that finished 3rd nationally. so four losses in two years and three of them were to teams that finished the bowl season ranked in the top 3.

waters over may? maybe the dumbest thing i've read on here in the last year.
