Paint the stadium??? Post Rating (3 votes)
I was at the West Virginia game...first game in 2 years...just looking around at the stadium I noticed that the royal blue paint looks exactly the same as it was when I was going to school there in the early '80's...Question -- if we can't renovate the stadium how bout' painting it?

We will be swimming in debt.  Currie doesn't care cause he'll be out of Manhattan and it won't be his problem.  Also, Snyder is going to die soon so we will go back to Futility U.

by far my favorite delusion over there is "ku is just waiting until ksu is done expanding their stadium so that they can look at it and make the memorial project slightly better"

I don't even think our lots are that big.  They could be so much bigger/more awesome for tailgating

agreed.  wish they would pave even more around the stadium.

it's obvious that most of the phog has never experienced good tailgating, which is pretty sad now that I think about it.

To be fair, they did win the 2013 SS EMAW Harley Track Stadium Renovation championship.  Let's not sell them short.

Wait, what? Do their fans really act like they have a great football program? Thankfully I don't live in Kansas and don't have to interact with any of their fans. As we all know, 99% of the population outside of Kansas isn't even aware that there is a Kansas "State" University.

I can't find positive confirmation of this little gem that was posted in the gridiron forum at phog.net, but if this is real.... It's rough ridin' classic!!!

In the postgame, Jeff Woody (ISU fullback) was chuckling and said during the 2nd quarter he looked at #55 and said, "You don't even want to be out here, do you?" The guy shook his head no.

also he's probably their best player on defense.  he and his dad were super emaw but we only offered him a grey shirt.

I always thought the Heeney kid (drunk driver) from Hutch was their best player on defense...   :dunno:

Regardless, see if you can confirm the above story or at least get their side of it.  Could make for good comedy!

Common knowledge, I know... But looks we're another Super bowl. Feels good.

"We’ve had K-State circled all season. We’ve had a running clock waiting for this game since the summer. This is the No. 1 game we want to win every single year...This is a big game for us and a big game for the Kansas program, A win like this could throw everything out the door. Whatever the record was, OK, we beat Kansas State, our rival, we got bragging rights for a whole year."

http://www2.ljworld.com/news/2013/nov/24/ku-football-ready-shift-focus-sunflower-showdown/

Do they seriously have one of those countdown clocks mounted in their locker room?  Please tell me that was just a tongue in cheek comment about having a running clock since summer.

Was just going to post this.  Was that for real?

If the countdown clock is a real thing then that's almost as ridiculous as their Spring Game win.  I guess when Chuck was at Notre Dame and they have that "Play Like A Champion Today" sign in their tunnel he wanted to capture the magic from that and apply it at KU.  Just imagine the emotion you would feel as you leave the locker room for the last time in 2013 and smack one of these on your way out to the field:

Since we have the weekly game countdown clock that gets changed to each respective opponent from week to week, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if the ku fans don't find a way to get a photo of ours in the lobby of Vanier just so they can say, "Look! The 'taters have a countdown clock for the Dillons too!!"

Why go to the trouble of painting the stadium if those ungrateful effs don't even want to be there?

Maybe those bball players can earn their keep by painting in the summer.
